How to Lift & Shape the Jowls

As we age the collagen in our face depletes for most of us and small fat pads will slip lower down creating little pockets called ‘jowls’ at the base of our cheeks connecting to the jaw and chin. When this happens, we tend to feel like our lower face has widened and that youthful heart shaped face and pointed chin has somewhat disappeared! But never fear where once surgical intervention was necessary we can now remould and shape this area using Botox anti-wrinkle injections and sometimes even a fat dissolving product just to smooth any excess fat out.

Slimming the face and jowls with anti wrinkle injections is a minimally invasive procedure where small units of product are inserted under the skin to lift sagging jowls and target the muscle underneath forcing it to lift up. Further injections can then be placed into the massetter muscle at the side of the face which then can work to slim the face even more as the muscles retreat and pull back giving us fresher and tighter looking skin with a return to the beauty of the youthful heart shaped face.
